NEED HELP Can't Post
i have a Mitsubishi CS-35601 that has a white picture with horizontal line that run from the top to the bottom about 1.5 inches apart if you tap on the side of the set sometimes the picture will go back to normal can someone give me a hint on what could be the problem

in my first posts i forgot that the set will power down after 15 sec. when the screen is all white with the horizontal lines

like your get retrace lines. that syptom is cuased by shorting inside CRT or some current lackage at CRT socket. If you have equipment, you can boost CRT. Try to low screen voltage to see what's going to happen and you may figure out what's the real problem.

Well thats a big conclusion to jump to, if you tap the thing and it clears it will not be the tube it will be a dry joint on the flyback or the like, I would lay odds on it not being the tube, wanna bet.
