Pansonic buzzing Can't Post

I have a 6-month-old Panasonic CT-32SX31E Tau flat screen TV. About 1 month ago it started producing an annoying buzzing sound. The pitch of the buzz varies with what is on the screen. The buzz is present both when I have the sound run through the stereo system and when I use the TV speakers, so I am thinking it is the TV itself. Do I need to call a repair service?

Hi Scooter,

Is this a mechanical buzz? Do you hear it coming from the back of the TV with the audio all the way down? If so, I would definitely recommend taking it in for service. I don't remember the labor warranty period for that model, but the parts warranty is 1 year. The buzzing could be something as simple as a transformer or coil, or could be a problem with the yoke, which sometimes involves replacing the picture tube (major expense). I recommend taking it in while it's still in warranty.

Thanks for the reply--I called a local service shop authoroized to service Panasonic and they will look at it in my home at no charge.
