Phillips 32ps55 s321 Can't Post

TV turns on, shows a fuzzy picture, and then automatically turns off by itself like going into a shut down mode. has anyone had this problem with this model of TV or similar one? Is there anything I might be able to do to fix the problem myself? Thanks.

Philips 32PS55S321 32" TV. My problem is the TV goes into shut down intermittantly. The solder seems good. Can not make go off or on. Looks great when playing. Philips said no tech line available and referred me to a local repair shop who was no help. I am a TV tech but do not know what to do. Seems like a software problem. any thoughts?

Philips have had issues with their software, most of which they mounted on a separate panel and that is replaced as a unit. It is costly and you have to send the other one in for replacement. If truth be known the ones i have seen repaired seem to have had nothing done to them so it may be a reset issue, and all they need is recoded on a jig.

Check for an open 10 ohm resistor on the Picture Tube Socket numbered either 3340 or 3344. DTVMAN
