Pioneer SDP5065 problems...?

I recently got a 1993 Pioneer SDP 5065 projection tv. Powers on fine..but right now the coax input for cable doesnt work...the picture is not all snowy but very hard to see, and the sound does work. As for the RCAs, they are the same way at first when you first turn the tv on, but after 5 minutes the picture will come up fine, colors look good and all. I do notice when watching a movie using the RCAs that when bright colors come up like yellow, the picture starts flashing and cutting out a little. I was told by a friend who knows a decent amount about projections to replace all the fuses and resistors and capacitors and to clean the guts out too? Any other suggestions would be helpful or if anyone happens to have a diagram of the guts of this tv that would be awesome.
