I have been given a second hand Telefunken SDM-217FE, which was purchased in Malaysia.
The TV works fine except that it does not respond to the remote control and when it is turned on (not in standby mode) there is a constant red message across the screen "promo irlock".
I believe this to be some form of security setting. Does anyone know for sure and how I can turn it off?
