RCA L32WD22 problems Can't Post

I'm having problems with a lcd hdtv I bought 3 hours ago. It's an RCA L32WD22. I brought it home and hooked it up directly to my cable. I don't have a cable box on this t.v. so it's a straight line. This tv came with a built in hd tuner, so it is suppose to pick up some hd channels. I know some of the channels come in as analog and some come in as digial. On the digital channels there are subchannels, ie 83.11. It seems like these digital channels are to much for my tv because the channel seems to freeze with sound, freeze without sound, have no picture at all or come and go, it's a crap shoot. This can't be normal! Will I ever get this to work or should I take the tv back? Do I need to have a cable box hooked to the tv?

If you don't have a good HD signal, most HD TV sets will exhibit the same symptoms your set is displaying. Your problem is with a poor HD signal, not the TV.
