Reparing broken display Can't Post

My son cracked the display on my Samsung plasma set. It's still under warranty, but I'm sure this isn't covered. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what it costs to have this fixed. I'd like if like to know how much I need to sell my son for to offset the price......

I hate to say this but the Panel itself will cost you more than the TV cost to replace. I know it sounds ridiculous but its true. For an example, a 42 inch samsung screen will cost between $600-$800 to replace from factory and then labor cost.

I buy them for about $20 from people to scrap the parts.

Wow....the sick feeling I had just got worse. This is a 55" TV. Any ballpark idea on what this is going to cost? I hate think I'm going to be throwing away a TV that's still under waranty.

You know what you paid for that Samsung that's still under warranty, Well figure 4/5 to 7/5 of that price to repair. IF a replacement panel is even available.Angelic

selling your son on e-bay might cover the cost.
