Resistor Values Can't Post

Can somebody tell me if a resistor value of 2.7 ohm, 1 watt and 2.7 K ohm 1 watt are the same? The same goes with 1.5 ohm, 1watt and 1.5 K, 1 watt. The reason I'm asking is because I ordered convergence IC's (STK392-110) for my Hitachi 53UWX10B and at the same time ordered 2.7 ohm (RK-50)and 1.5 ohm (RK-54) resistors. They sent resistors that were larger than the original ones in my tv. I went to Fry's and saw the 2.7 K and 1.5 K resistors that were the same size as the ones that I ordered. I hope I could find out whether they are the same or not before I install them on my tv.
Thank you.

Re: [jmonte] Resistor Values [In reply to] Can't Post

K means 1000 so 2.7k is 2700 ohms as opposed to 2.7 ohms so definately not the same.
