Right track????????	Can't Post

Toshiba model TP55G60, chassis TAC9753 (12/97):

Would not start up. I could here relay click and high voltage come up/back down with LED flashing on/off:

I pulled the harness going from convergence amp to red gun. Power stays on with picture but of course red convergence is bad.

Measured -14v on pin 18 of red amp. 0v on pin 18 of blue amp. Can't switch harnesses to check.

Is it red amp or red gun (convergence yoke)?? Thanks

Hi, Are you sure you measured voltage on pin 18 ? Should be negative

15.9 on pin 17 of both STK`s, Zero volts on pin 18, if you verify that

you have -14 on pin 18 I would ohm out pin 17 to 18 to see if those

2 pins are shorted on that IC, hope this helps, Larry E
