SAMSUNG 50" problems

Hi all, hope you are well,
I recently purchased a Samsung 50" plasma (model no PS50A456P2D). On some channels the picture seems to be bigger than the screen and it cuts off a bit of the picture. When changing to some channels the picture automatically re-sizes itself but still cuts a bit off. I'v been all through the manual of the tv but cant find anything about this problem.
I also wondered if it could be my Virgin Media box that was causing this problem. Does anyone have any pointers or has also had a similar experience?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
