SONY 32KVRX Can't Post

I HAVE A TRINITRON SONY TV 32KVRX, WHEN IT IS TURNED ON , IT SOUNDS OK, BUT THE PICTURE LASTS ABOUT 6 MINUTES TO SHOW, IT LAST 5 MINUTES ON AND THEN IT IS OFF AGAIN , AND THEN TURNS ON OK JUST BY ITSELF. AND IT KEEPS TURNED ON OK AFTER THAT. THIS HAPPENS ONLY WITH THE PICTURE, THE SOUND IS OK.
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP.

With a picture tube tester/rejuvenator.Wink
Every well equipped TV repair shop should have at least one.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP ,JTS1957.
I THINK IŽLL HAVE TO BUY A PICTURE TUBE TESTER, ACTUALLY, I DONŽT HAVE A TV REPAIR SHOP, I AM DOING THIS JUST AS A HOBBY AT HOME. IF THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO DO THIS (REJUVE THE TUBE) , PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS A LOT.

I have never had much luck in trying to rejuvinate a trinitron tube so you could be wasteing your money buying a CRT tester (which are not cheap). If turning up the screen voltage does not work, you can increase the heater voltage by isolating the filament pins on the CRT board, wrap three turns of insulated wire around the flyback core and attatch the ends to the filament pins on the CRT board. This will be a temp fix but it might give you one or two more years of life on the CRT.
