SONY vertical lines Can't Post

Hi all,

I'm new to this board so sorry if this has been already answered. (donno how to search for it) Do you guys have any idea or advice on what is wrong with this TV? It's a 32" BRAVIA...

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply ZIP. The model number is kdl-32xbr4 The original picture is something similar I found on the web but below are the actual pictures I took. No matter what button I push there is no menu or picture. After pushing a button screen just brightens for couple seconds. That's all.

Thank you in advance for any help.

You can not fix this yourself as it needs major parts, being a Sony it will be a major cost so be prepaired, and no I dont know what it will cost only by doing a bit of digging and fixing could anyone tell. Prices usually start at 25% of the price the set cost, sometimes you can be lucky but with this one I dont think so.

So, what should I do with it? Recycle it maybe? Isn't that a shame?

bh/t-con panel and I'd also change the LVDS cable, but most likely just the bh/t-con panel.
