SOUND FAIR? Can't Post

My parents tv has stopped working, so my mother called a tv repairman and he said it would be $40 to come out and $150 to service the tv minus the price of the part. That sounds crazy, or is that a ballpark figure?

Shop around in your local area and see what the LOCAL conditions dictate. They will vary depending upon your local economy.

I would consider that quite reasonable, in my area anyway. (Unless they overprice parts, that is)

Around here the service call would be $80 to come out, and labor to repair would be no less than $200 I'm sure.
