Samsung LE40A686M Can't Post

Hello,

My Samsung seems to have developed a strange picture, it's fine on the left hand side but wobbles on the right hand side.

I've taken a photo but can't seem to upload it, I've resolderred all the joints on the board that feeds the back lights and I've checked all caps and replaced one that looked fine but I replaced it anyway.

All connections from and too the TCon board have been cleaned and I am now lost as to what to try next.

Could it be that one of the power transistors needs replacing and if so which tend to fail.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

MJH

Just uploaded a 2 second clip to YouTube so you can see the fault, it's in the conservatory so please ignore the reflections outside.

Hope someone can help

Thank you

Mjh......

It looks like you're in the 0.00001 % that didn't....Unsure....
Perhaps putting a link to your eBay business webpage may have had something to do with it...

Ron,

Many thanks for your reply, I didn't realise that would stop people replying, I have now deleted my signature.

Looks like panel de-lamination. Does it get better after running for 30 min or so?

Hi thank you for the reply, it's very intermittent, if I unplug and rep lug one of the Tcon connectors it fixes the problem.

Sometimes it will be faulty on switch on and sometimes it takes a while to go faulty.

Any thoughts, I've changed the inverter board and the fault still exists.

Many thanks

It is usually in the panel itself.

Look over this article I did on the same issue, check the pictures about half way down and see if that looks like your screen. The demonstration set I used was a Sony, but it uses a similar panel as your Samsung.
