Dear All,

Hi i'm new to the forum and after some help I have the above LCD TV, and we have a problem where the bottom half of the TV screen goes dim and then the top half will start going dim about 3minutes later. This happens through Sky and DVD so can only presume it is the TV. The TV has only started playing up after it was moved from our old house about 3 weeks ago. When the picture goes Dim you can still see the picture. If the screen is left for about 2 minutes it comes back to normal. Can anyone help or do I need buy another TV.

take the back off and look to see if the backlights go out when the picture is dark. if still on then you may have a loose connector between the boards as it happened when the tv was moved. if the lights go out then there may be a loose connecttion on the inverter board( the one with a row of transformers which feed the backlights.

do i have to be carefull of any high voltages above 240ac
