Samsung LN 840510 Can't Post

Hi
This is my first post, my unit does not have picture, but does have sound. From computer input, cable and local no cable channel.
If I press the source button on the remote, I get what I would call a test pattern, black and blue bars on the left side of the screen, but for less than 1 second.
If it was a computer I would say the video card needed replacing.
I am an old guy, my first laptop was a 33 pound Osborn.

A 33 pound Osborn, Holy Crap Jim you are old! ha ha ... I'm just clowning around, I haven't got a clue what a 33 pound Osborn is; did it use punch cards like the first computer I used? Did it use vacuum tubes? ha..ha..ha. I'm 52 so you can't possibly be as old as me.

Do you have any more info on that set, I can't seem to find anything in my notes for the number you posted. Is that the model number (could there possibly be a typo)? Can you have a closer look to see if there are any other numbers that may help? Approx. how old is the set? Is this an LCD or Plasma set?

.

Osborne [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi
That is the unit, thanks for the link. I had always thought it was 33 pounds, I guess I have been telling tall tails for years!
Now I am an old guy stories are all I have left. I will amend this one though

Power supply voltages all present at the right times? No puffed lytics? Power is reaching the inverter board and it IS being told to turn on?
