Hi I know this has nothing to do with tv but I've searched for a stereo repair forum with no success. I have a samsung MAX-810 stereo that works everything fine except for the radio section, when I select TUNER no sound can be heard even when tuned to a strong station, I can only hear anything if I put the volume to the highest point and still I can barely hear it. If downloaded the schematics and I found out that the radio IC is Sanyo's IC LA1836 if I jump pin 17 to 18 (Post AMP R-IN to R-OUT) I can hear the tuner on the right speaker but at about half volume. Do I need to replace the IC? Could it be something more simple like a faulty capacitor or something? Please I need help. I would like to know where the fault is so I can repair it.
