Samsung Tv Problem Can't Post

When I switch on the TV (29 inch Samsung) it keeps switching on and off on its own for about five times. Then it stays switched on . If I switch off the TV and switch it on again within a short period the problem does not happen but if the TV has been switched off for some time even in standby mode, then it happens.

TV Model is Samsung CW 29M206
Thanks
Regards

It sounds like a cap has lost it's ability to work correctly. It's not the tube and it's not junk.

The reason I say its likely to be the tube is because its going on and off. If its a dried out capacitor sure it may not start due to issues in the supply, but keep working it and it will blow the horizontal or the supply, seldom does a repairer see a set with a dried out cap and no other fault. If the tube does not balance the processor will adjust the settings to get balance and will switch video and sound off and on.
