Samsung UN46EH5300F Can't Post

I have the TV model I posted above and here is what it is doing and what I have done I can get no image on the screen unless a flashlight is shined upon it, then I can see a scrambled image. There is no evidence of backlights illuminated from the back at all. I replaced the power board out of blind hope to no avail which leaves the main the TCON and the backlight strips. Rather than just purchase another incorrect solution I would like to get help on figuring out which component is bad if possible. I can post pictures if necessary. Thanks in advance

In case you did NOT order from here or chose not to read the Note or Message:
PLEASE NOTE: The LED strips (part number sj-BN96-28769A/BN96-28768A) in the models listed are prone to failure. If this board does not fix the problem with your TV, it is likely that you have defective LED strips. Power supply and LED strips failures cause similar symptoms in these models.

All signs are pointing to bad led strips...

I suggest investing in a LED strip tester, found at Shop Jimmy or Ebay.

Pull apart the tv down to the strips, taking photos as you go.
With a tester, you will find which strips are bad and can replace from there.

Note - Only order the strips by the model number shown on the strip. Do not order strips based on the "tv" model number as shown on the back of the tv.

Good Luck

The power board was not ordered from Shop Jimmy because they were out and still are out. I did order one from Ebay and put it in to no avail.

Cannot be said any simpler ...

If this board does not fix the problem with your TV, it is likely that you have defective LED strips.

Work towards proving or disproving LED strips. Try Unplugging the cable between the Main & Power/LED Drive board and see if LEDs come on AND STAY on.

So if you take the steps you mentioned previously and you get a faint flicker of a few LED's and eventually nothing is that indicating all LED's should be replaced? I get the same behavior with the two power boards I have. Thanks for the help by the way.

This is finally finished. It actually ended up being the mainboard. I now have a new project I will post. Thanks!
