Sharp LC-70LE650U Can't Post

***Updated tried a different method for sharing the pictures, sorry about that***

I have a sharp 70" led tv that just started giving me an odd green effect with horizontal green lines and only on half of the screen showing a picture. Please see the attached pictures. Is there a common board that can be replaced? I have removed the back of the unit and I do not see any obvious signs of burnt or loose connections. Audio works fine.

With your suspected background , wouldn't a source of oxygen (ie , mask or tank ??) be advisable ???

Hope you had a GREAT Holiday...

Ok I removed the pictures because they are of no consequence now. The screen no longer comes on, I get 5 fast flashes and 2 slower flashes on the little arrow light at the bottom of the TV.

I read the same thing regarding the error code, I ordered a main video board and power supply board to hopefully resolve the issue

Re: [caryd12] Sharp LC-70LE650U [In reply to] Can't Post

I have replaced the main board (where all the HDMI connections are) and the power board. I tested to make sure I have 5V DC coming out of the power board and receiving 5V DC into the main board. I am still getting 2 slow flashes and 5 fast. Any suggestions?

Incoming power appears to be steady 120V

Re: [caryd12] Sharp LC-70LE650U [In reply to] Can't Post

FYI the screen doesn't power on unless I press the power button which will interrupt the 2 slow 5 fast and turn the light solid for about 30 seconds, sometimes the screen will flash on for just a second. I have a hard time replicating this, it almost seems like a short because of the intermittent behavior.

I have done a continuity test between all the wires on all boards. I could not do a continuity test on the solid silver ribbon cable that runs in between the main board and the T-Con DUNTKF975WE14 board.

LED Backlight does not turn on.

Quote
The screen no longer comes on

When power supply unit is replaced, does it start normally? NO
When main unit is replaced, does it start normally? NO

When LCD control unit is replaced, does it start normally? ? (IF NO - then)

When the parts in the panel can be replaced. then Replace all LED-bars in the panel module.
When the parts in the panel cannot be replaced. then Replace panel module.

Re: [jts1957] Sharp LC-70LE650U [In reply to] Can't Post

Another update:

I believe it is the small T-CON board now. I realized if I unplugged the right side ribbon cable that the screen lit up and the left side displayed a normal picture. I swapped the ribbon cables from left to right and the problem remained the same leading me to believe the problem is in the board and not the cables. I have ordered the board and will update once I replace it
