Shorted Zener Can't Post

Hello,

I have poured over the forum and could not find an answer that may have already been posted about zener diodes.

I have a Sylvania LC260SSi LCD TV that keeps blowing fuses.
I believe I have isolated the the problem or part of the problem to a shorted zener diode 1ZB220-Y. On the Hot side of the main PWR supply board at location D620. However this part is missing from the parts list in the Service Manual. I can locate the PDF data sheet for the diode. Everyone seems to be out of this part, but can not figure out a suitable replacement. Does any one have an idea.

Thanks for reading.Once you let the magic smoke out. Its real hard to get it back in.

Re: [jts1957] Shorted Zener [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello, JTS1957

The Service Manual was found online while doing a search for the power supply board BA01A0F0102 4_A.
The manual seems to be exact about everything about this tv except oddly enough it leaves out the part in the parts list but shows the schematic with the part. Don't know if that really means any thing. I would like to know if there is a suitable replacement. Do I look for the same forward voltage as my zener and same watage.Or do I need the exact 220 volts as stated in the part number and data sheet?

D620 DIODE ZENER 1ZB220-YBB NDWZ01ZB220Y

220 volts @ 1 watt (or higher)

Set will run without. Is meant to short if B-plus exceeded.

Hello again, JTS1957

Thanks for your response to my question I will try and find a zener with 220 volt at 1 watt or higher.
