Snapping Samsung Can't Post

Unsure I have a 30" Samsung Slim fit model TXS3082WHX. When I turn it on it makes a "Chung" noise, the red light on the front blinks steadily 4 time then goes black. Also after about 45 minutes of the TV being on and working normally, it will start to snap at random intervals and gets progressively worse by snaping more and more often. I took it in for repair and they said that my tube is bad and it not worth the money for repair. The TV is only a 1.5 years old. Is it really trash at this point? thanks for any incite that can be provided.

sounds like the tube is arcing in the neck part.very expensive to replace so cheaper to buy new tv.if this is the slimline crt tv that samsung released about 3 years ago, tubes and poor scan geometry were always a problem on these tv's.
