Sony KV-2197M3	Can't Post

Hi, I bought a multi-system TV from overseas. It was working ok till now. It takes 3-5 minutes to turn on Mad

. First standby light starts blinking slowly for 2- minutes, then it blinks quickly for 1 min and turns on. No other problem, works fine. Checked most capacitors in power supply, HOT. Any suggestions. Thanx Wink

what year is it? you should find the date on the back of the television

It sounds like the picure tube wont balance. The set measures the current drawn by the tube on 1 line of red green and blue. It then adjusts the settings to give you 0.11 blue 0.3 red and 0.59 green. if that doesnt happen the first time, it tries again. Sony dont make glass tubes any more so there is no fix. There are several patent remedies, these dont last long.
