Why are you turning up the screen control? Do you have a picture?

Re: [Paulpablo] Sony KV-36FV15 [In reply to] Can't Post

Paulpablo, I turned up screen control to confirm highvoltage. However I realize this is why I get retrace lines. I noticed the a burnt mark on the picture tube focus pin. Didnt have a highvoltage probe, to check for focus voltage. My instincts tell me either the focus is bad or the picture tube is shorted. I dont have the proper tools to check these places. It seems like the the transformer and tube socket are one component.Dont think the costomer wants to spend much to get this unit fixed. Thanks for your time.

Frank, Are you thinking about jungle Ic or video drivers ? I had a good 150 or better on driver chip to all 3 guns. But will check for video in and outs. Will ad this to my list. Meanwhile going to order highvoltage probe and esr meter.Been checking prices. MCM has good product but high priced. And I dont want a cheap hv probe. Thanks guys for your help, Will let you know what I find out.

try to resolder the tuner to the board, and then if no good, check IC 355 and CXA2154AS, then also check the 5v to the Pip bord.

Franky, Turns out. No focus voltage, Picture tube socket arched over, and no voltage from fly. Also was wreary about replacying flyback, because pin on focus of tube looked smoked. I dont have picture tube checker. Older tv, customer wants a large flatscreen. Thanks for everybodys help.Shocked
