When I bought the tv the image goes away sometime...until the final black out... I have changed the kind of round unit that plugs to the top of the screen (don't remember the name) and got an image...but it goes away for no apparent reason.. Could it be the lamp that is going away?

Turn the screen control up slightly and see if you are losing vertical sweep. If you are, re-solder the pins on vertical I.C.

Tks.. I'm very new to this... the screen control is located where? on the board at the end of the tube? is this the voltage? The pin on vertical I.C.... is this a pin on the fly back ? You probably going to say that if I know nothing about tv I shouldn't play with those... I like "challenges". Thanks for your help...I very appreciate it.
