Sony Resistor Can't Post

Hello
Just have a couple questions about the 1/2 watt .1 ohm fuse resistor used in Sony TVs Is it a wire wound resistor or some other composition (such as Cerment)? Can you use either one as a replacement?
Thanks.

A safety resistor is not wirewound, the usual is metal film on a ceramic former. No one would use wire for any resistor under say 2W, cost wise its not on. .1ohms is a very low value are you sure you are not looking at a pico fuse some of those can be a 500mm long white box with a wire inside.

No it’s not a pico fuse it’s a fusible resistor
its designated as R607. The reason I’m asking this is
because I putting together a parts order for a set and the
place I’m dealing with has everything but they don’t have
a “factory” replacement for the fuse resistor.
However they do have this..

I just wanted to find out if this would be ok for a replacement.

If Wattage is correct any safety resistor of that value is OK.

If that resistors blows you have to by a Sony kit consisting of 4 parts, 3 parts in some sets. You also have to resolder the Horizontal circuit.
