Sony Trinitron KV-24FV300 Can't Post

My Sony does not bring up video/audio when I press the power button. The red light blinks at 4 blink intervals. The TV was manufactured in 2002. Can you still get parts? Can someone please advise me. Thanks!

DanO;.....

Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted.

I don't see any problem getting parts for that problem....

How much electronic/TV repair background experience do you have ????

Go to elektrotanya.com and download the service manual. Check IC545 and the resistors and caps associated with it.

With all due respect;.....Angelic...

This is not a forum for Technicians by Technicians...
NOT everyboby that posts here has electronic experience...

Some have some electronic background...
And a considerable number have NO electronic background...

I take issue with you giving this advice all too frequently;=>...

Don't you think it would be a good idea to FIRST see what the OP's electronic experience IS before you arm him/her with a manual that contains the "Factory Menu" codes that I've found out in the past they WILL try to fix ALL their troubles with ????
AND cause more problems that could & did make the set USELESS ????
After it is established that they have some technical knowledge , then it should be decided by the responding tech to give them a service manual or the means to get it , IF they needed it...
That would be you OR me ...

Giving an unexperienced person a service manual or the means to get one is tantamount to giving me a scalpel & doing brain surgery...

Please use some restraint when someone posts & determine IF that person is qualified to get & USE a service manual properly ...

Your call....Smile....

Thank you....Wink...

You & I both know what these are , but , we do not know IF the OP does...
