Sony kv-27fv15	Can't Post

I have a sony kv-27fv15.
The problem i am having is when tv is turned on the picture blinks on and off. If anyone knows what i should do please let me know!

Yes you do need help- sounds as if a phsike would do- you also have a n unusual set where the screen moves(much like a screen door?). Have you thought of contacting your local maker,s helpline?.

Bad CRT, most likely. Frown

Turn down the screen control on the flyback "just a hair" at a time. If the picture returns temporarily - IS bad tube.

where is the flyback located?? is it on the yoke?

Follow the thick (usually) red wire from bell of tube to flyback. Angelic

there are two controls there, one has white paint on it and the other does not. which one do i turn and do i turn it clockwise or counter clockwise?

As you can see, they are usually labeled.

I mean CCW = lower / CW = higher.

ok well it stoped blinking for less than a minute then turned off...
what does that mean?

You should turn it back on. Wink

It should stay playing for at least a few hours.

Picture tube is cause. Rejuve or replace. Or replace TV set.

yeah i been taking my time and adjusting both of the knobs and the blinking is only delayed till i go to far to the left and it turns off.

ha ha ha you are sooo funny Sly

I turned it back on and began turning both knobs, at one point the picture stayed still. Once I stopped adjusting the knobs the picture began blinking on and off again, but the amount of time it stayed on lengthened. When I first started adjusting it, the picture only came on for 2 seconds and then went off again, evenutally it got to where it stopped blinking for up to like 60 seconds before blinking again, but even whenever it wasn't blinking the picture would come in perfect and then go bright.
