Stange Noise Sylvania ???

I bought a 32 inch Sylvania TV about a month ago and it works just fine.
However, while the set is off, every once in a while it makes a noise.
Hard to describe but it makes the same sound, as if you tapped your fingers on the side of the set. It is not a click, more like one loud tap, which repeats every few hours.
