TH -42PZ700U breakdown

I have a Panasonic TH-42PZ700U since about April of 2008. It does get a lot of use as I'm home alone most of the time. It has always worked great until about a week ago then poof! It just stopped working. A small red light in the lower left hand corner was flashing and that's all it was doing. I called Panasonic and the woman had me unplug it, wait a bit, try the remote, etc. - but nothing. I need some kind of help bad. I don't know who to call or where to turn. I'm on a small fixed income and this a disaster for me. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get it going again? Any help would be great.
