sorry ... beginners <br>I get a case on toshiba 29PB201EJ striped image <br>when I touch on the TCON image appears but as pause and normal voice ... after my TCON heat ... image and sound normal but above and in the middle there is still a line ... <br>whether this is caused by a faulty TCON? or damage to panel <br>

Tcon cheap and more easily findable to try an exchange.
Panel not so cheap or easily found to try an exchange.

Defect(s) show with OSD/Menu?
