TV Repair Help! Can't Post

Hi,

My 3yr old HDTV Hitachi Energy Star 52' Screen has recently broke down. The tv turns on, but there is no video/audio and is unresponsive to remotes (except turning on button). None of the tv buttons work except the on and off button. I think this should be a very easy self repair, but I do not know where to start. The only problem I can think of is that the power cord might of shorted and the tv is not getting enough power, but then again I am not a technician. Any suggestions of would could I do/what happened? Thanks

E.L.

Yep, I'm sure it's just an easy repair.
