Technika LCD32-207 Can't Post

Intermittent fault, completely unpredictable but happens a lot. The TV is an 18 month old flatscreen tv, just out of guarantee.

What should happen : Starting with the TV completely off, we turn it onto standby, at which point the standby light comes on. Then we tell it to go to a channel, at which point the standby light goes off again and the picture appears.

When it goes wrong : Following the above to start with, but when we tell it to go to a channel, the standby light goes to half brightness and there is just a blank screen for ages (can be as long as 45 mins). Then the standby light goes off and the picture appears, or sometimes we just get a bright pink screen and have to wait for longer.

Please help, this is a REALLY annoying problem!

its a technika lcd32-207 (tesco own brand) ive had a browse on the web and people have had similar problems but no 1 seems to have come up with a solution, any ideas people?

cheers arty

Start with the usual: Unplug, open, observe.
Find the power supply (follow the AC pins/wires) - You may have to take shielding, etc. away to get to. Look for anything out of the ordinary, burnt, broken, bulging capacitors, etc.Wink
