Toshiba 40L1353B parts Can't Post

Hi all,

I'm not a TV repair technician or anything of that sort but do have a little bit of knowledge from repairing computer monitors and laptops.

The problem i am having is with a Toshiba 40L1353B.
After a few minutes the screen turns black but if i shine a torch onto the screen i can still see an image.
As with most issues of this type i am under the assumption that the inverter is the culprit here.
I do know that it could be an issue with one of the bulbs for the back lights. if one of these are faulty then it could also cause the whole back light array to shut off.

The problem i am having at the moment is trying to source an inverter for this TV set.
The part number, which i have underlined, for the inverter is,

94V-0 SSL400-0D5A Rev:1.0 2012.0515

The other numbered information is as stamped on the circuit board.

Is this part number used on other TV sets and if so, could you list them for me?
It may be easier to get the part from another TV set as trying to find the model i have is almost next to impossible.

Thanks

Just a quick update.

I received a replacement inverter yesterday.
After putting the TV back together and turning it on, an image came up and the back lights all came on.
However, after about 5 minutes or so, the back lights switched of again but there was still an image on the screen if i shone a torch onto the screen.
I was thinking of replacing the lighting array but i really don't want to go through buying them just to discover i have the same thing happen again.

Could anyone advise of the next best course of action?

Apparently so.

The part connects directly to a circuit board which is directly connected to the back lights.

An 'inverter' (for CCFL bulbs) takes low voltage DC and changes it into higher voltage AC.

LightEmittingDiodes need a 'driver' circuit. They may convert. but they don't invert.

OK.

You obviously have more experience than i in this field.
Could you advise me further on what else i should try, other than what i have suggested already?
