Vizio 42" E421VA Can't Post

Well first post, so in advance, thanks for the help.

I searched around both this forum and many others for this particular problem and I think it is different from the "Black Screen of Death". I purchased this TV just under two years ago and it has been flawless until now. Last night I went to power it and the Vizio logo lights up and then the screen is black, but flickers between black and off-black. The logo also pulses along with the flickering. I took the back off and looked around at the capacitors (please keep in mind I know NOTHING about TV repair, although I am very familiar with electronics and how they work) and didn't see any with bulging or burst ends. I looked for that only because of what i've seen other people talking about on other sites.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you again in advance.

Check the output voltages on the power supply. They should be marked.

I've never seen one do what you are describing, so we are into new territory here.

Good luck,
