Vizio GV47L FHDTV10A Can't Post

Vizio GV47L FHDTV10A missing the front cover, rear cover, both speakers and the front bezel, this is how the TV was when someone gave it to me. I need to know how I can get it to power up without the sensor touch controls. Is there a way to jump wire momentarily to get it to turn on? I want to see if it works and is worth trying to get it to work, say once it turns on just replacing the remote sensor so I can turn the TV on and off.

Will allow turn on to be attempted.

Jts1957, than you for the reply back. Is there a way to fire the TV up without the remote sensor? I'm not sure if it works or not or even how or why it's missing the outside and I really don't want to spend any money if it's DOA

Some older sets had test stakes that could be jumpered to put the set into a 'aging' or 'burn-in' mode. Most newer sets have similar feature in the Service Menu which is accessed with a customer or a Service remote.

If set used normal tact-type front panel switches you 'might' have been able to cross connect pins (1 to 3, 2 to 6, etc.) of the cable that connected to that board to work various of these switches. Of course any bias resistors &/or diodes would also have been on that board.

As for a missing touch sensor-type switch board - without seeing the circuits in question - who knows?

Would I be able to find out if I would be able to jump pin or anything in the service manual? http://www.scribd.com/doc/64952075
