Vizio L42HDTV10A	Can't Post

I have a Vizio L42 HDTV10A with no picture but sound. Several weeks ago the picture was replaced with multi-colored vertical lines. Sometimes it would correct itself in a couple minutes others I had to turn off, unplug etc. Now it will not correct. I pulled the back to re-seat the cables, and looked for bad capacitors but didn't see any. I live in the Caribbean now so service is an issue..
I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:
Remove any discs from the disc tray.
Turn off the console.
Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Wait for the guide light to indicate that the controller has linked to the console.

Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is indicated by the upper-left quadrant light on the console.
As the console starts, press and hold the Y button as you pull the right trigger.

Could be a T-con fault . . .or Bad panel

Well, the TV is acting up again. Worked fine for two days. Now still have picture but there is a lot of pixelation ?

The dark areas show a lot red pixels. The flesh tones have bright spots in center and discolored areas (e.g. greenish tint at edges.
