What do you mean by "horizontally squeeze"? I the picture not wide enough or not tall enough? In either case, it cannot be solved with the remote and is probably due to a parts failure which needs to be repaired by a qualified tech.

It sounds to me as if you are using an older tv with 4/3 screen ratio- newer tv,s are 16/9 ratio- accordingly programs are transmitted in 16/9- which means there will be gaps at top & bottom of pic- no remote will compensate for this- once again the bean counters have won!!!(gotta have new technology(for your benefit!)- not to mention selling off all those airwaves!).
