about code	Can't Post

Today when I went to my friend house, a technician is programming his TV. According to him, t=his TV set has brightness probvlem. UI saw the technician use Remote ctl keying in some code to do some sort of programming seem to be overite eeprom something like that,

Could anyone tell me what code or key is that called ? The technician did not disclose to us.

please help
