buzzing from speakers

hi, i have a wharfedale 37f1080p lcd tv . it makes a buzzing noise from the speakers, it stops when you mute it and it doesn't matter whats plugged in ( sky ,dvd ) it even buzz's when nothing is plugged in and in a room on its own away from any other electrical devices . with headphones plugged in the buzzing is not there ? it doesn't get louder with the volume it stays at one level which is ok because normal tv volume you carnt hear it its when theres a silent pause or the volume is turned down coz the kids are in bed it becomes apparnt and is driving me nuts . im no stranger to a soldering iron or a pcb board and taking things appart doesn't faze me so any advice on how to fix it or suggestions on what it could be would be appreciated . thanks for reading and replys in advance
