need help1;.....

Have you checked B+ to the HOT ????
IF you did not & you do , UNSOLDER the HOT & REMOVE it BEFORE you read the voltage...
If you don't , you can/will blow your meter....
You have a manual ???
How did you check the caps ???

Post results....

Maybe , maybe not....We'll see...

I have a schematic ..

I asked if you had a "service manual"....Not a simple schematic...
You & I both know a schematic is NOT the same as a manual....

I'd REALLY appreciate a list of these;....

jts1957;.......

Yes , you did....
Ever hear of April the oneth ???...
It's April Fools weekend....Sly....Yeah , right...

need help1;....

When you are ready , here's what I'd suggest/appreciate you do....
Use care removing the HOT (Q4401) as there may be a residual charge there...
After you remove the HOT , with the set unplugged , hook up your meter to the collector connection on the chassis...
Plug the set in & read the B+ volts....
Then turn the set on & read the volts again....
Leave it on & see if it turns off & then back on as it was doing initially....
Observe what the B+ is doing...
Post readings & what the set & B+ does....

THANKS....Sly......
