guide plus problem

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi 40" rear projection tv. I just started getting a message on my screen that says" TV Guide Plus - Installing guide plus data now. HOME to delay cancel to abort." Trouble is:
I cant get rid of this screen.
No buttons (menu, channel, volumn etc.) work on the tv.
I dont have a home or cancel button anyways.
This tv is about 8 years?? old and I have never seen anyting about guide plus before either on the screen or in any menus.
Cable box does use TV Guide. Cable co. says its not them.
Unplugged tv it does not go away. Unplugged cable from tv it does not go away.
I don't know waht to do? Any ideas?
