the pdf says not to connect the tester if light is not on,but that is why I want to test it because It will not come on.someone else told me If I hold down the switch in the back and plug in the tv the little electrod on the ballast will (fire)light up and If that happens then the lamp is bad,and that does happen,so should I just buy a lamp,or test the lamp first,because the cheapest lamp I have found is 119.00 and dont want to buy one if that is not the problem.Thanks for all your help.
