i am trying to find out if anyone has ever used la7840 in place of la7845 in a 25 inch or bigger tv
and what was the results

but i have them already and notice they have alot in common,A tech told me he has replace the la7845 with la7840 but it was in a 21 inch tv,am just wondering if it will work in a 25 inch without problems because of the amps

Based on what I see , the LA7845 handles more wattage & output current...
I think you may run into a overheating situation if you use a LA7840 in place of a LA7845...
I would think that a LA7845 would be better to use in place of a LA7840...

I would go with the LA7845 IF you are going to sub.....
As jts1957 would say & I totally agree , "put back in whatever came out"...
Safest way to go...

correct,and the closees one i can get to it is la7840.i think i will take the chance because most of the time these parts are not used at they full rateing
