mitsubishi vs-6047 Can't Post

Hey everyone!. I'm new to this forum but in desperate need of some advice on my tv. I have a 96 Mitsubishi projection tv. Its a model VS-6047 I turned the tv on last night and it immediately blew a fuse. I went out to Radio Shack and bought a new 125 volt 5 amp fuse and installed it in the board. I turned it on and it keeps blowing the same fuse located near the power supply cord. I am not able to afford a costly repair company. I am in need of some helpful advice on what i can look for.

You can look for a blown up power supply, fuses seldom pop for no reason and feeding the thing with fuses just blows more bark off your TV.

Thanks , I'll give that a try. Any idea where I might find a replacement power supply?

check for short circuit transistor or regulator ic in the power supply. a mits. dealer may be able to help you but an 8-9 year old set will probably not have replacement pcb's available anymore
