mute stuck on	Can't Post

i have a 1990 zenith television that wont go off of mute. when you push the mute button on the remote, it very quickly un-mutes and then re-mutes its self. the television displays mute on the menu.... hate to throw it away.... any help would be great

I have similar problem with a Zenith System 3 from the 1990's stuck in muted mode. I have disconnected all accessories, so I can blame them. I have had this happen before a few years back and can't remember how we resolved. I have used new batteries in the remote and manually tried to unmute. Perfect picture, just can't hear anything. HELP I am ready to pitch it!

The mute switch on the TV is probably stuck in the closed position and needs to be replaced.
