phillips 27 Can't Post

Hello all out there. I have a power problem with a phillips model PA5027 C203, or chasis model 27V514-00AA. When you turn it on either by remote or front panel the green power led comes on for a few seconds and then shuts off. You never actually see anything on the screen. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

I believe that is the model with a high failure rate of the vertical output IC which in turn takes out the IC +/- B+ power supply diodes and their fusible resistors resulting in these symptoms.

Is there an easy fix? Can I change out an IC and a few diodes and be back in business? Thanks for your response.

If that is really the problem, it is a matter of changing the IC, two diodes and two resistors. If you have any soldering skill, it should be an easy job.
