hey guy's A customer brought in ths set to me. smelled something burning. but set still worked. DIDNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SWITCHING TRANSFORMER SINGING. took back off found a big beefy diode burn't d2 is the location after taking the part out (in three pieces) could only read 55 on part,after trying to get schematic from servicemanuals.net (they don't LIST) . this diode is as big as a nte 588. (with it out set still works) NEED TOO KNOW IF IT SOME AVALANCHE DIODE OR WERE TO GET SCHEMATIC FOR SET (CHINNESE TV ALSO GOES BUY YHE NAME SPECTRONIQ) THANX DOC
