I have sound but no picture (screen black) Any thoughts besides the obvious?

It is probably in IK shutdown where the video is blanked due to ageing of the picture tube. Try turning up the screen voltage. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.

Hi,blsgator:Usually,Timer/Stand by led blinks when no picture is found.read error codes (if led blinks)using the rigth literature.The most problem found in these sets are:Vertical circuitry Intermittent,,,Horizontal pulse intermittented,Video problems or a weak CRT.

Well Mel you got it. Cranked the screen voltage a touch and problem over.

Well Mel you got it. Cranked the screen voltage a touch and problem over.
Not really over problem #2 picture comes and goes. If you tap the shield around the flyback it will flash and go or come back. Something is loose or broken in that area
