ok i am replacing ic's and pin #3 on board the copper goes nowhere does this sound correct? external mute i believe it is a 55" mitsubishi 1080 series. any input would be great thanx in advance.
You are correct.
You have the item in front of you. Just because a IC has X number of pins doesn't mean manufacturers have to use them all.
What does the other IC of the pair do with pin 3?
